In January of 2007, Irma joined CCH POUNDER and CALVIN LOCKHART in the Bahamas to film a movie called "RAIN" (Mr. Lockhart's last film before his unfortunate passing)...
In June of '07, Irma performed a role in the Indie film "VACUUMING THE CAT"... It premiered on April 5th, 2008 at the PHOENIX FILM FESTIVAL, retitled as "UNCROSS THE STARS", and is now available on DVD.
In July of '07, Irma filmed a role (in Chicago and Atlanta) for "TYLER PERRY's MEET THE BROWNS" film...
... Irma appears in scenes with star Angela Bassett who plays Brenda (a single mother who's struggled for years to make ends meet & keep her kids off the street). After receiving a letter announcing the death of a father she's never met, Brenda takes her family to Georgia and gets to know the family she never knew existed. While there, she discovers a life-changing new romance...
... The film opened on MARCH 21, 2008 (& Irma can be seen in the trailer, saying such things as, "Don't you ever get tired of doing the right thing!": http://movies.aol.com/movie/tyler-

On October 27, 2007, Irma appeared in Dallas as a speaker in "POETS N' JAZZ # 1 -- A Night With Actress And Writer IRMA P. HALL" at TBAAL's Clarence Muse Cafe Theatre.
In mid January of 2008, Irma was thrilled to become a Founding member and Artistic Director of a new acting enterprise in the Corner Theater at the Metroplex of the Dallas suburb of DeSoto. You can find additional details about the AFRICAN-AMERICAN REPERTORY THEATER at the web-site www.aareptheater.com .
In April of 2008, Irma joined FOREST WHITAKER & L'IL WAYNE & BOW WOW & ISAIAH WASHINGTON in New Orleans to film a sports-related movie called "PATRIOTS"; it has since been renamed "HURRICANE SEASON", & is currently available on DVD.
The summer of 2008 saw Irma working on a WERNER HERZOG film starring Nicholas Cage entitled " BAD LIEUTENANT: PORT OF CALL NEW ORLEANS "... It is available on DVD.
Fifty years ago, Lorraine Hansberry's seminal play "A RAISIN IN THE SUN" opened to an enthusiastic reception. As an honor to that event, the African American Rep Theater (211 E. Pleasant Run Rd. in DeSoto, TX) staged that play starring IRMA as the matriarch of the Younger family, which ran from March 20 thru April 12, 2009...
In March of 2009, Irma was happy to film with star WILLEM DAFOE in WERNER HERZOG's newest film
entitled " MY SON, MY SON, WHAT HAVE YE DONE "; it is available on DVD...
... Irma & the director were happy to present the film in person to enthusiastic audiences at the 2009 Chicago Int'l Film Festival in October. (The movie is now available on DVD from amazon.com)...

Irma has received a number of honors recently, including a Lifetime Achievement award on Nov. 20, 2010 from the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity in Chicago.
Irma is scheduled to appear in the Pearl Cleage play "FLYIN' WEST " at the AFRICAN-AMERICAN REPERTORY THEATER in Desoto, TX from Feb. 4 -27, 2011; for ticket info, see www.aareptheater.com .
Irma has acted in various MOVIES currently in post-production & scheduled for 2011 release, including: as Grandma Barnes in "CHANGING THE GAME" set in Philadelphia; and as Sister Louise in "THREE BLIND SAINTS"...
DAVID E. KELLEY was the man behind such TV shows as "Ally McBeal", "The Practice" & "Boston Legal". He recently wrote a special role for IRMA in his new TV series " HARRY'S LAW " starring KATHY BATES.
... That episode ("Heat Of Passion") is tentatively scheduled to run at 9 PM Central time on NBC TV on Monday, JANUARY 24, 2011...
And, soon, Irma hopes to be working on OTHER acting projects (including TV-related) which she'll tell you about...
